I hate fundraising! Hated it as a parent and still dislike it as a coach! BUT, it is a necessary evil we must do. We have many things to pay for to run this program and this is how we do it. We will only have 1 fundraiser this year and it happens on this Thursday night. We will be participating in our HOUR-TEXT-A-THON. What we ask of the kids to come that night with 20+ names and phone numbers. They will send a text to each of those names and then follow up with a phone call. The text and call will be asking for donations and donators will be sent to a site where they can donate. Their names and numbers will not be sold or transferred to anyone else in the process of our fundraising efforts. In the past we have averaged about $8k in the first hour which usually grows to around$18-20k in the following week. our goal for this year is $20K+!!!
It is easy, simple and very effective and most of all WE ARE NOT SELLING COOKIE DOUGH OR CARDS!!!!!!

This week please help your player create a list of names they can contact – relatives family friends, past teachers, coaches (not your present coaches!), youth ministers, Dr/dentists, hair stylists, etc. If you have questions about this feel free to contact me at bob_boyer@beaverton.k12.or.us.
