JV Finish & Playoff team

26 Oct 2018 by Bob Boyer

Last night our JV season came to a conclusion with our final JV game. This has been a tough season in regards to the win/losses, but a great season in learning and development. Our JV squad was young in grade as we mixed FR/SO and a few JRs. Many of the teams we played were more heavily manned with more experienced JR players and when we matched up again a FR/SO team without our juniors all our hard work showed through in a big win against Southridge. I, as all our coaches, have seen great growth in so many as we learned how to play the game at this level and how to work as a team. I am very proud of our players in what they have accomplished this season. The JV year, even more so in the FR year, is a year of learning how to play at this level. It is not an easy year as many players are playing against bigger older athletes for the first time and finding their inner strength to compete to the best of their ability. You have all handled yourselves with great class, determination and perseverance and I look forward to the growth you will all make between now and next spring in the weight room or in other sports that you will compete in and compete you will!!!

We will be holding our JV Bowling party once the varsity season is completed and we hope to see you all there!

Regarding the Playoff season, I have posted a playoff team list in the locker room that I would like you all to take a look at. We have selected players that we feel can help us on both scout teams and possibly in special teams play. We have also looked at players that we feel would benefit by this experience going into off-season. If a player sees actual field time they will letter and If we make it to the 3rd round all players will letter! This is a great opportunity to get a taste of the playoffs and the energy that comes with it. Also all playoff team members will go to the team dinner on Thursday night as well.

To those not on the playoff team, we thank you for your efforts this season and will alert you as to when the JV Bowling Party is set.

ALL IN,

Coach Boyer
